About us
The Foundation
The Student Athletics Foundation (SAF) exists to develop young women through sport, education, and leadership. We believe athletics is a powerful platform, not just for competition, but for building confidence, discipline, and lifelong opportunity.
Through Royals Elite Academy and our MLB Nike RBI affiliation, we provide structured athletic development, academic support, and exposure opportunities for girls who aspire to compete at the highest levels while preparing for life beyond the field. We are not simply a travel program. We are an academy committed to long-term growth.
Our Values
At the heart of Royals Elite Academy and SAF are four non-negotiables:
Attitude – We choose growth, accountability, and resilience.
Effort – We work with intention and consistency.
Execution – We prepare with purpose and perform with focus.
Discipline – We honor the process, even when it’s difficult.
These values guide how we train, compete, communicate, and represent our program.
Our Vision
We envision a future where young women in sports have equal access to elite training, mentorship, and exposure, regardless of background or financial circumstances.
Through intentional programming and strategic partnerships, including MLB Nike RBI, we are building a pathway that prepares female athletes not only for recruitment, but for leadership in life.
Our long-term vision is to operate a fully integrated academy model that blends athletic training, academic support, mentorship, and leadership development under one structured system.
Our Mission
Our Philosophy - The Diamond Process
We believe development is layered like a diamond. The Diamond Process represents our commitment to:
- Technical skill development
- Mental toughness
- Academic accountability
- Leadership training
- Exposure and recruitment readiness
Our academy structure reinforces that growth is earned through structure, consistency, and support–just as a diamond is formed.

Jarrell Williams
Founder and CEO
A decorated athlete himself, Jarrell's journey in sports began with the Midcrest Panthers Football & Cheer organization. He then attended Harold L. Richards High School, where he excelled as a football player, achieving 1st Team All-State honors and ranking among the nation's top defensive backs. He carried this to Northwestern University on a full scholarship. Here, Jarrell stood out not only for his athletic skills but also for his academic achievements and commitment to the community, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors and the Evanston Community Volunteer Award.
It was during this period at Northwestern that Jarrell faced personal trials, deepening his understanding of the pressures faced by student-athletes. This experience helped formalize his mission: to ensure no young athlete feels unsupported as they navigate the complexities of sports and life.
Under Jarrell's leadership, the Student Athletics Foundation and Royals Elite Athletics has not only succeeded in the competitive landscape, securing multiple tournament championships, but has also achieved a 100% college placement rate for student-athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate level.
His coaching achievements extended to his role as the Head Girl's Track & Field Coach at Munster High School in 2023, where he led the team to numerous championships, broke several school records, and celebrated the success of athletes who earned All-State honors in 4 events and one who secured a scholarship to Ball State. During the 2023 football season, as the defensive backs and wide receivers coach at Chicago Christian, Jarrell help lead his team to win the IHSA 2A State Championship in his first year. He also serves as the new Head Boys Track & Field Coach at Chicago Christian.
Jarrell's philosophy, "embrace opportunity," reflects his belief in the transformative power of sports to teach valuable life lessons. Through his leadership, Royals Elite Athletics and the Student Athletics Foundation have become sanctuaries for young athletes to grow, compete, and succeed. Here, every challenge is an opportunity to become stronger, not just as athletes, but as individuals poised to make a positive impact in the world.
